Writing
Guides and honest comparisons
Everything here is written by the people who build the product, about the part of customer support that AI is actually good at and the part where it still needs a person. Sources on every number. Dates on every price.
Guides
How to set the thing up, and what to expect when you do. Written from the product itself rather than from a feature list.
More guides are being written. Product documentation and API reference live on docs.outlearn.com, which is a different job from this page and stays where it is.
Comparisons
One page per tool people leave, or consider instead of us. Each shows the capability gaps in both directions, with pricing compared at a stated volume and the assumptions written out, because per-credit, per-ticket and per-resolution pricing are not comparable without them.
Outlearn vs Freshdesk
A mature, cheap helpdesk priced per agent, with SSO on its entry plan. Outlearn charges nothing per seat.
Outlearn vs Zendesk
A fair AI meter, exports switched off until you ask, and a bill that counts agents. Outlearn reads your Guide in place.
Outlearn vs ManyChat
ManyChat bills every person you can reach, because Instagram marketing is the job. Outlearn bills the answers it writes.
Outlearn vs Chatbase
Both take real actions. Only Outlearn reads Confluence, SharePoint and Drive, and scopes each answer to what that customer may see.
Outlearn vs Helply
Helply bills every ticket that reaches it, resolved by AI or not. Outlearn bills only the AI replies it actually generates.
Outlearn vs Front
Front's price is attached to how many people you employ: seat 11 takes a team from $3,000 to $8,580 a year. Ours is attached to how much the agent does.
Outlearn vs Help Scout
Help Scout Pro bills a ten-seat floor at $75 each, so $9,000 a year before one AI answer. Outlearn charges nothing per seat.
Outlearn vs Gorgias
A conversation Gorgias's AI fully resolves bills twice, as a ticket and as an automated interaction. One it fails bills once.
Outlearn vs Tidio
Lyro bills a conversation the first time it replies, not when it resolves one. Only an immediate handoff is free.
Outlearn vs Zoho Desk
The cheapest helpdesk here, with 30 million free AI tokens a month. Its AI reads your Zoho knowledge base and little else it publishes.
Outlearn vs LiveChat
Two products and two bills: the inbox is per seat, and the AI agent is a separate ChatBot.com subscription on top.
Outlearn vs Intercom
Fin's meter is fair and we say so. The bill underneath it is per seat, and Fin reads no SharePoint and no Drive.
Every tool, side by side

How we write these
Four rules, and they are the reason this page exists on outlearn.com rather than somewhere easier.
01
Every number has a source and a date
If a page says a competitor charges $75 a seat, the sentence carries a link to the vendor's own pricing page and the date we read it. Prices change. A number without a date is a number you cannot check, and most of the pages ranking for these terms publish exactly that.
02
We say where we lose
Every comparison names the things the other product does better, and our own rows read honestly. Where a row is a gap of ours, the row says so plainly instead of burying it in a footnote. A comparison that only flatters the author is an advert, and you would find out anyway.
03
Nobody pays to be in here
There is no sponsored placement, no affiliate link, and no arrangement of any kind behind the order things appear in. Where we rank ourselves, we say so in the same breath.
04
Pages get re-checked, not re-dated
Every page carries a visible last-updated line, and it moves when the content moves rather than when the file is touched. If a price changed and we have not caught it yet, mail team@outlearn.com and we will fix it and move the date.
Found something wrong?
team@outlearn.comTell us which line and we will correct it and move the date on the page.
